Job Description
- Welcome to the exciting world of the Dangote Cement Plc! Our company vision and sustained market leadership in Cement Manufacturing, We are looking for an experienced General Manager of Production to lead our team of dedicated professionals into the future.
- Your responsibilities include ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of our products, managing plant operations, and maintaining the highest level of quality control.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies and procedures in terms of health and safety.
- Furthermore, you will oversee staff training and development programs to ensure their continued growth and success within the company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the production of high-quality goods that meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet high standards of quality, safety, and environmental performance.
- Develop production plans in conjunction with other departments of the company.
- Oversee plant operations, ensure safety compliance, and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Train and mentor staff in efficient manufacturing and quality control procedures while maintaining performance metrics.
- Manage budgetary and financial aspects of the production process.
- Report issues and recurring problems to the appropriate stakeholders.
Requirements
- BSc./ HND in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 27 years of experience in production management.
- Knowledge of production standards and practices.
- Ability to interpret complex documents, including blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing plans.
- Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, financial management, and budgeting skills.
- Proficient in the use of production management software.
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
