Group Financial Controller
JOB SUMMARY
The Group Financial Controller shall be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the finance and accounts functions of Bluebrain Services Limited and its associated companies, linking finance to operations to achieve the Group’s goals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversees the development and the implementation of financial strategy and framework which supports profit growth and business sustainability.
- Manages the statutory reporting process, including setting timetables and providing guidelines to operational finance team. This includes supporting the period end accounts and annual review process, liaising with the business and key stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are met.
- Advise the Executive Management on liquidity, investment, and financial asset management.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of timely, accurate and useful management reports for the Executive Management and other stakeholders on a periodic and/or ad hoc basis.
- Liaises with the Entity Heads and relevant Unit Heads to ensure that the company’s investments are appropriately accounted for.
- Manages key banking relationships for accountability statements and to facilitate proper, timely and cost-effective funding of Group’s business operations.
- Monitors all third-party payments to ensure that such payments are justified by the value of work successfully completed and are in alignment with the approved budget or contract terms.
- Liaises with external and internal auditors to ensure smooth performance of audit operations and respond to audit queries.
- Ensure the Group’s conformity with relevant industry/regulatory control laws and procedures.
- Provide accurate and objective reports to the Board on compliance with Internal Control procedures.
- Works with the finance teams to ensure the customer/vendor, bank and all intra-group balances are regularly reconciled and differences fully investigated and resolved.
- Coordinates the timely and accurate filing of applicable tax returns, insurance premiums and other statutory fees.
- Provided technical training, guidance and advice on financial accounting issues, developments, and trends to finance team members to enhance overall team performance.
- Perform any other task assigned by the management.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years post professional certification experience at a senior management level in a company with a group’s structure
• Professional certification by ICAN (ACA) or ACCA is compulsory
• A master’s degree will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience and proficient skills in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and information management systems.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
