Job Position: Health Service Assistant
Job Location: Lagos

Description

• Health Service Assistant communicate with patients, relatives and carers. Assisting with clinical duties. personal care including infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety.
• Ultimately, observing, monitoring and recording patients conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respiration.
• As well as helping patients maintain their independence.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Going to care homes and conducting surprise inspect.
• Monitoring a patient’s condition via pulse and temperature checks.
• Serving food and helping them eat.
• Helping patients move around within or outside the building.
• Conducting periodic health checks.
• Assisting with lab sample processing.
• Sterilising equipment.
• Making the beds or replacing sheets.
• Helping patients go to the bathroom or take a bath/shower.

Requirements

• Health Service Assistanst are not Required to have a Specific Educational Background but will greatly benefit from knowing basic Medical Terminology, Administrative Skills and Good Interpersonal Communication but a Great Benefit for a Bachelor's Degree in medical Administration
• Kind and caring attitude and Time Management Skills, Sympathy and compassion, leadership potential, Interpersonal Communication, Client Relationships, critical thinking skills.
