Role Description:

The Human Resource Officer will manage all HR operational functions for Chris-Ejik Group including: recruitment, on-boarding and exiting processes; incident reporting, monthly HR metrics and reporting, Training programmes, ergonomic assessments, and workers compensation claims. Also,

  • Assisting with generalist HR matters, including reviewing and developing relevant Chris-Ejik Group Policies and Procedures and providing advice in relation to employee performance, conduct and absence management.
  • Providing confidential ad hoc advice and assistance employees.
  • Assist with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain contracts, personnel files and other employee information.
  • Develop an induction programme for new employees.
  • Liaise with external training bodies to coordinate and administer training and development programmes as required. This includes providing support in relation to Health and Safety training records for employees.
  • Develop and manage employee-related programmes, such as work experience and internships.
  • Provide administrative support and fulfill additional duties as may be required.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a ‘Continuous Professional Development’ framework, including talent management, appraisal and performance management systems that are based on outcome, accountability and evidence based practice.
  • Provide proactive support, information, advice, leadership support and guidance to staff and external partners/providers.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and advice to Managers / Coordinators on selection and recruitment, performance appraisals and termination processes.
  • Ensure the administration of employment packs, contract amendments.
  • Manage payroll processes to ensure that employees are paid correctly according to their contractual entitlements and manage salary sacrifice arrangements.
  • Advocate and promote employee benefits.
  • Maintain Work Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with the sector’s best practice ensuring compliance with legislation and risk management.
  • Manage WH&S requirements and oversee that appropriate training is delivered to key personnel to ensure staff are equipped to provide a safe working environment.
  • Manage workers compensation processes, including liaison with workers compensation insurer and broker (where required).
  • Any other duties relevant to the position as delegated by the Office Manager or Operating Officer

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Social Sciences, Organizational Behaviors or other relevant field.
  • At least three (3) years experience of working in a generalist HR environment, to include administration of recruitment and training at all levels.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company, pharmaceutical preferred.
  • Experience of supporting managers across a variety of departments at different levels in all aspects of HR and training.
  • Experience of volunteer recruitment, retention and development is desirable.
  • Maturity to deal with people at all levels of the organization and demonstrated ability to relate effectively to a diverse range of people.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills as well as multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
