We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: IT Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring system security, and supporting day-to-day technology operations.
• The role ensures smooth functioning of hardware, software, networks, and data systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, networks, printers, and software
• Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
• Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions
• Maintain data security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
• Update and manage antivirus, firewall, and security patches
• Maintain IT inventory and documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment and services
• Support implementation of new systems, upgrades, and IT projects
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and relevant regulations.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, MS Office, and basic networking
• Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network security concepts
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of servers, backups, and virtualization (preferred)
• Good communication and user-support skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage.

Experience:

• 3- 7 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
