Job Summary


  • The IT Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the stable operation of our IT infrastructure as well as providing front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware and software.
  • The IT Operations Lead must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate, and resolve complex problem situations. The role holder should be capable of planning long-term IT-based or driven initiatives for success, work with various teams and departments on improvements and solutions, and analyzing budgets to minimize costs.

Key Accountabilities
The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all users requesting IT service.
  • Troubleshoot all incidents and follow-up to ensure completion.
  • Perform system monitoring and maintenance of all on-premise and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, backup and recovery.
  • Assist in performing network management duties - upgrades, installation, testing, designing, developing, monitoring and tuning of network devices.
  • Provide systems administration and maintenance, end-user support and other operational tasks.
  • Responsible for daily onsite and remote technical support to end users.
  • Responsible for responding, documenting and resolving service tickets promptly.
  • Provide troubleshooting and basic problem-solving on software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Providing out-of-hours support when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational, Experience & Personnel Expectations

  • A good University Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent, plus appropriate IT related certification(s) and a minimum of 5 years of working experience in IT technical support and troubleshooting.
  • In addition, potential candidates should possess the following attributes:

Professional Experience:
Must have strong technical skills and hands-on experience with computer and server operating systems, such as:

  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC equipment.
  • Managing and configuring Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Managing and administering Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy.
  • Managing backup and anti-virus software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server configuration & administration.
  • Knowledge of creating and editing Crystal Report
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Managing Windows Server OS (2008 R2 to 2019), VMWare 5.x and above.
  • Intermediate networking knowledge including LAN, WAN, and wireless configuration.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security controls (Firewalls, Switches and IDS /IPS etc.)
  • IT Project Management & Change Management experience
  • Experience of outsourcing/vendor management, building and effectively managing provider relationships will be an advantage.

Salary
N600,000 - N650,000 monthly.
