About the Role

• The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications while ensuring scalability, performance, and security. This position requires a technically sound individual capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

• The Java Software Engineer will be responsible for the full software development life cycle (SDLC) — from concept, design, coding, testing, and deployment to maintenance.
• The successful candidate must be passionate about clean code, modern frameworks, and emerging technologies that drive software innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software systems.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for data integration and services.
• Ensure software security, reliability, and scalability.
• Maintain technical documentation and version control using Git or similar tools.
• Contribute to code reviews and team knowledge sharing.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of solid experience as a Java Developer in an enterprise environment.
• Proven hands-on experience with:
• Core Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
• RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture
• SQL/NoSQL Databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Version Control Tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployment is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of software design principles (OOP, SOLID) and agile development methodologies.

Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 / Month.
