We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time
Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer at Debour Nigeria Limited.
- The role involves designs and development of new products, improving existing products, conducting tests and simulations, and supervising the production and implementation of mechanical systems.
- You will work closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure that the designs are cost-effective, safe, and perform well.
Responsibilities
- MEP System Planning and Detailing: Prepare plans, shop drawings, detailed designs, specifications, and cost estimates for MEP systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
- Project Supervision and Implementation: Oversee the planning, supervision, and execution of mechanical engineering tasks on-site, ensuring compliance with designs and specifications.
- Site Supervision and Reporting: Conduct on-site inspections, supervise installation, and maintain accurate technical reports for internal and client reference. Prepare tender documents and relevant project documentation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and other team members to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Problem Analysis and Resolution: Analyze mechanical engineering challenges, develop practical solutions, and ensure efficient troubleshooting processes.
- Prototype Development: Design and develop working prototypes for testing and customer demonstrations, supporting innovation and quality assurance.
- Mechanical Equipment Oversight: Ensure the proper installation, test-running, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and facilities, maintaining control over related activities.
- Timeline and Budget Adherence: Track project milestones to ensure timely completion and budget compliance, adjusting as necessary to manage risks effectively.
- Client and Consultant Relations: Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and consultants, addressing concerns and providing technical insights to support project success.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of work experience in building services.
- HND / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional certification in engineering is a plus
- Proficient in the use of CAD and other design software.
- Excellent communication skills – written & verbal.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good troubleshooting skills & attention to detail.
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems.
- Ensure designs meet legal guidelines and safety requirements.

2.) Plumber
Job Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Job Type: Full-time
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Technician located in Sagamu, Ogun state. The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for:
- Measurement
- Drawing Interpretation
Internal Conduit works:
- Water Supply Piping
- Waste and Soil & Firefighting Piping
Fittings and accessories / equipment installations:
- Sanitary wares & Landing Valves installation
- Toilet accessories & Hose Reel installation
External Works:
- Water Reticulation System & Fire Hydrant System installation
- Sewer Pipe & Sewer Treatment Plant System installation
- Water Treatment Plant System installation
Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant work experience with ND and Trade Test 1 – 3.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision, technical plans, drawings and model.
- Ability to work as a team, understanding and interpreting drawing efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance and repair tasks
- Experience with preventive maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills.
- Good at building relationships across different levels.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Cultivate and maintain a professional image at all times.
- Detail and process orientated and always ensuring the right tasks are done by/with the right people at the right time.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a similar position is a plus.

3.) Quantity Surveyor

- Coordinate and liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.
- Develop and prepare detailed reports, contracts, budgets, alongside other essential project documentation.
- Advise managers and clients on project improvements and innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Document and track any design changes, updating budgets and timelines as necessary.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with both external and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution.
Requirements & Qualifications
- HND / BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NIQS, RICS) are a plus
- Proficient in developing accurate bills of quantities (BOQ)
- Good analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient Excel, project management software and tools
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail in project documentation and reporting.
