We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Procurement Supervisor

Job Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

The Goal of the Role


  • To determine the best sources of supplies for the company by researching vendors that provide quality supplies at a fair price, negotiating contracts, establishing quality standards for purchasing, organizing the ordering, delivery of supplies. 

About the Role

  • Responsible for creating strategies for long-term supply purchases that best suit the company
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
  • Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed

Requirements
What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as a procurement officer or related position
  • Candidate should possess moderate to advanced expertise in procuring of planting supplies such as seeds, pesticides and other equipments.
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
  • Possesses integrity and ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Navision, and Excel)
  • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Be able to carry out any other responsibilities or assignments given by the Procurement Manager.

2.) Driver

Job Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Job Type: Full-time

Requirements
What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of SSCE is required with 2-4 years of experience as a driver in a standard organization.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in basic English.
  • Knowledge of Abeokuta routes and its environs is highly required.
  • Ability to and precise attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Abeokuta terrains is required.
  • Ability to drive a truck and a van.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
  • Ability to identify vehicle faults and escalate appropriately.

3.) Agronomist

Job Location: Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • Crop Management: Manage all aspects of crop production in both greenhouse and open field, including planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest and disease management and harvesting.
  • Soil Nutrient Management: Monitor soil health and nutrient levels in both green house and open field settings to optimize plant growth and productivity.
  • Environmental and Climate Monitoring: Monitor environmental conditions in both greenhouse and open field, including temperature, and soil moisture levels and adjust management practices accordingly to create optimal growing conditions for crops.
  • Team Leadership and Training: Provide leadership and guidance to greenhouse and field staff, including training on best practices, safety protocols and equipment operation.
  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Implement IPM strategies in both greenhouse and open field operations to control pests and diseases, utilizing biological, cultural and chemical control methods in a sustainable manner.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that crops from both green house and open field meet industry standards for freshness, appearance and taste.

Requirements

  • A minimum of HND or Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Plant Science or a related field is preferred (a Master's Degree is a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years and above of managerial experience in greenhouse and open field operations with a focus on crop production and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to write analytical reports, create presentations and prepare statistical reports.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plant physiology, soil science and agronomic practices.
  • Proficiency in integrated pest management (IPM), fertigation as well as organic farming practices.
  • Possesses integrity and ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
  • Goal-oriented and highly organized team player.
