Job Position: Anesthetic Technician

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description


  • This role is responsible is to provide direct clinical assistance to aneasthetics, safe operational anaesthetic and ancillary equipment in the operating theatre and maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Stocking & preparation of anaesthetic rooms ensuring all rooms and equipment trolleys are stocked in accordance with stocking list for each theatre
  • Checking and preparation of anaesthetic machines, intravenous drugs and ancillary equipment including cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of equipment
  • Preparation, application and establishment of patients monitoring equipment
  • Provide professional, clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist during all anaesthetic procedures and other times
  • Receiving patients from theatre reception, checking verbally the full names and hospital number with wrist band and ensure the adequate operative consent has been signed consistent with the operation list
  • Transferring patients to the operating room and to post-operative care units after procedures
  • Assisting with safe positioning of patients
  • When required, provide assistance outside the operating theatre in other units like the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, CT Scanning Suite, MRI Unit, or other areas of the hospitals
  • Participate in your departmental quality improvement project
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

  • Anaesthetic Rooms to be kept to a high degree of cleanliness

Job Qualifications

  • Anaesthetic Technician Certificate
  • 1 year post qualification experience is desirable

Job Position: Staff Nurse / Midwife

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary of Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for assisting clients and patients sustain and maintain their health and wellbeing
  • Observing and recording the conditions of patients
  • Performing procedures such as monitoring of vital signs with necessarily follow up, wound dressings, IV placement and providing other assistance needed
  • Checking and administering medications and injections
  • Ongoing accurate assessment of each patient while monitoring their response to treatment
  • Admission and discharge of patients
  • Documenting and maintaining adequate patient records
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment always.
  • Comply with the use of Standard Operating Procedures and policies / adherence to quality standards

Job Position: Inventory Officer

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary of Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible to participate in the development of Hospital policies and procedures
  • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities of Lagoon Hospitals
  • Develop and communicate inventory management processes, policies and procedures
  • Direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures related to inventory management operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement using manual and computerized inventory systems
  • Review compiled inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials and stock on hand)
  • Develop and implement profit improvement plans and change management plans
  • Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the inventory management operations
  • Conduct investigations into inventory management incidents in order to verify and resolve complaints
  • Responsible for actual inventory counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, the counting procedures used, and location of all inventories

  • Number of times management reports are delivered within prescribed TAT

Job Qualifications

  •  First Degree or Equivalent in any discipline but preferably a numerate discipline
  •  CISPM is desirable
  •  0 - 2 years’ experience is desirable.
