First AllyTrust (formerly Personal Trust) is a Microfinance Bank in Lagos and a subsidiary of First Ally Capital Limited (FACL). The Bank was registered in 1993 and operated as a Mortgage Bank until its conversion to a Microfinance Bank in 2014. First Ally Trust has a branch network at strategic locations in Lagos State and provides banking services to individuals, micro, Small and medium enterprises (MSME).

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Recovery Officer

Job Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary


  • The Recovery Officer oversees the prompt receipt of overdue repayments.
  • The recovery officer’s responsibility includes spotlighting and contacting defaulters, drafting repayment plans, negotiating payment options and liaising with debt recovery agents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring write backs of provisioned or written off accounts though collection of overdue amounts.
  • Identifying deviations from payment plans.
  • Calling and visiting defaulters to follow up on overdue repayments.
  • Proposing realistic, carefully constructed payment plans.
  • Monitoring defaulters' repayments to stop recurrent non-compliance.
  • Protect the Bank’s Risk assets by closely monitoring all credit facilities
  • Assists the Head of recovery in all recovery matters
  • Collection of assigned accounts to ensure full repayment
  • Early detection of delinquent accounts with collection/recovery strategy
  • Report and update changes in residential and business addresses of defaulters and guarantors
  • Formulate and implement appropriate strategies and actions to maximize recovery and minimize credit loss
  • Evaluate collateral and documentation to identify recovery/remedial strategy for restructured accounts
  • Work with the Branch Managers of the assigned branches on remediation and recoveries.
  • Conduct spot checks on loan customers
  • Generate collection reminders
  • Initiate demand letters and reminders to defaulting customers
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • OND / HND / BSc in any related field
  • Evidence of completion/exemption of/from NYSC.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a remedial or recovery officer

Skills:

  • Sound understanding of remedial and risk management
  • Proficient in negotiating and persuasion with the ability to synthesize and present arguments in a logical and rational manner
  • Good understanding of loan classification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Strong strategy and implementation skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suit
  • Ability to multi task and handle pressure.

2.) Credit Admin Officer

Job Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Credit Admin Officer is responsible for all credit administration functions in the department.
  • The jobholder ensures credit file documentation is in line with product paper and in compliance with the credit policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains registers and records of outgoing and incoming credit documents and collateral
  • Serves as a liaison between staff and the credit department
  • Responsible for the preparation of all credit-related letters and correspondence
  • Develop and maintain a filing and archiving system
  • Provides support to the legal, recovery, compliance and operations departments on credit-related request and enquiries
  • Receive and keep of all security documents in conjunction with the legal department
  • Perform credit status inquiry and interface with Credit Bureau
  • Daily monitor the credit portfolio and evaluate the risk of potential default while recommending solutions to the loan recovery team
  • Provides weekly collection and payment schedules to marketers while ensuring prompt and timely repayments as per schedule
  • Identify and escalate repayment irregularities for further management action
  • Research and evaluate credit applicant's financial status, references, credit and
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or any related field
  • Evidence of completion or exemption from NYSC.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a credit administrator or monitoring officer in a financial institution.

Skills:

  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (including writing and speaking)
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workflow under strict deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.

3.) E-Business Officer

Job Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The E-business Officer is responsible for the alignment of e-business strategies with the short and long terms goals of the bank.
  • The job holder ensures the support and growth of e-products and services in order to achieve the digital transformation vision of the bank.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Increase the profitability of e-business by achieving e-business budget.
  • Assist the Head of E-business on project implementation within budget and set time frames.
  • Comply with operating manuals / procedures for e-products operations.
  • Comply with strategies to increase the bank’s market share by growing the number of active users of e-business solutions.
  • Manage each channel as a business, focusing on service delivery income streams and costs Manages all self-service channels including websites, applications, software’s etc.
  • Supervise Cards, and mobile money operations of the bank.
  • Ensure customers’ disputes/claims regarding e-channel transactions are resolved within TATs.
  • Ensure reconciliation of ledgers and settlement of transactions.
  • Ensures fees due to the bank are received from third parties as and when due.
  • Provides user support for the core banking and alternative banking channels.
  • Implement security measures to protect systems and infrastructure.
  • Report all suspicious or fraudulent activities to Compliance.
  • Flexibility to carry out any other task as requested by Management.

Qualifications

  • HND/BSc/ in IT or Computer Science
  • Evidence of completion/ exemption of/from NYSC
  • Evidence of completion of Microfinance Certification program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT and e-commerce in a bank.
