One Acre, founded in 2006, supplies smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms more productive. We provide quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural trainings to improve harvests. We measure our success by our ability to make farmers more prosperous: On average, farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund. We serve more than 800,000 farm families in Eastern and Southern Africa, with more than 7,500 full-time staff, and we aim to serve 1 million farm families by 2020.

1.) Nigeria Supply Chain Management Specialist

Job Location: Niger
Department: Systems and Operations
Manage: 3-5 people

About The Role

• The Nigeria Supply Chain team brings high-quality, life-changing inputs to our farmers at most efficient cost possible. The macro-economic context and farmers reality is more dynamic than ever before. This requires our OAF supply chain to be more agile with evolving processes, applying supply chain management and industry best practices to the unique context of last mile farmer deliveries in rural areas.
• We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage the processes and the team that support deliveries for all our programs (Core, Rural Retails and Trees) and different other projects such as market access/buyback.

Responsibilities
Supply Chain Function Management:

• You will identify process improvements and digitization/ efficiency measures
• You will set-up annual Unit's Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and implement with the team.
• You will Accomplish the Unit’s OKRs and KPIs
• You will ensure budgeting and hiring of staff resources in lieu of program expansion.

Warehouse Operations:

• You will ensure smooth warehouse operations by providing necessary resources and staffing
• You will ensure planning and onboarding of WH casuals
• You will conduct regular internal warehouse audits/checks.
• You will ensure 5S standard compliance of >90%.
• You will ensure program-adequate and cost-efficient warehouse space and positioning across the country

Inventory Management:

• Ensure weekly and monthly inventory counts in all warehouses.
• Ensure accurate reporting of monthly inventory reconciliations
• Manage monthly reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Follow the global loss protocol and escalation matrix in case of any suspected theft, fraud, unexpected disappearance of inputs, or tampering with inputs.
• Ensure efficient space use in warehouses and QC process is followed.

Delivery Management:

• Manage deliveries across for all country program: Core, Retail and Trees - in close collaboration with the Field Operations Department. This includes:
• Ensure delivery KPIs, especially the max 0.1% shrink target, are met.
• Ensure accurate data management before, during and after deliveries
• Liaise with the Product Innovations team to sample inputs for testing
• Develop and implement distribution schedules in a cost-efficient way
• Liaise with logistics vendors, team members, departments and other OAF staff to ensure accurate delivery of inputs.
• Negotiate affordable rates and draft conditions of service with the transport vendors
• Conduct regular postmortems of logistics projects and deliveries and derive required improvement actions

Demand Forecasting:

• Develop and select appropriate forecasting models based on the nature of our data and the business context
• Implement and run selected model to optimize inventory, allocate resources and enhance overall operational planning

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or related fields
• 3+ years of experience supply chain management and implementation

2.) Nigeria Research and Evaluation Lead

Job Location: Niger
Preferred Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

• As the Nigeria Research and Evaluation Lead, you will independently oversee the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) department, taking responsibility for impact evaluations and other studies aligned with program goals.
• Reporting directly to the Global MEL Regional Manager, you will manage a team responsible for MEL processes and are expected to foster creativity and process improvement.
• Your role involves representing the department and collaborating with Global One Acre Fund Leadership for strategic decision-making on MEL initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop survey designs, conduct field testing, and refine survey instruments.
• Perform data analysis and generate reports to draw meaningful conclusions and actionable insights.
• Oversee the management of the in-country MEL team which collectively supports a team of over 60 part-time Enumerators. Responsibilities include: Mentoring M&E managers through field visits, meetings, career conversations, and professional reviews.
• Conduct in-field supervision of critical M&E activities, maintaining a focus on achieving high data quality standards.
• Supervise in-field follow-up procedures to address and rectify survey data quality issues promptly.
• Supervise the recruitment and growth of M&E staff, involving the following responsibilities:
• Facilitate regular training sessions to enhance the skills of data collectors.
• Address performance issues with underperforming staff.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for; For this role specifically, you will have the following:

• Professional experience of 7+ years, reflecting an interest in international development.
• Academic or professional background in designing, implementing evaluations/research, and analyzing findings.
• Strong quantitative skills and experience with statistical software, preferably STATA or R.
• Preferred Master's Degree in International Relations / Public Policy / Statistics, or a related field, but not strictly required.
• Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of Hausa is an added advantage.

3.) Nigeria Agricultural Extension and Expansion Supervisor

About the Role

• The Agric. Extension and Expansion Supervisor role at One Acre Fund Nigeria is a permanent, mid-level position within the Field Operations department, based in Minna, Nigeria, and reporting directly to the Field Operations Specialist.
• This important role focuses on ensuring effective agronomic practices, coordinating expansion efforts, and impacting 1 million farmers by 2030. Success is measured by the successful implementation of compliance protocols, expansion into new areas, and increased farmer adoption of best practices.
• The team has achieved significant milestones, including implementing compliance protocols, expanding into new areas, and increasing farmer adoption of best practices. As part of the Field Operations department, the supervisor manages an Agric. Extension Manager and Agric. Extension Agents, overseeing their daily activities and ensuring understanding of organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate agronomic compliance activities across designated regions, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Help expand One Acre Fund programs into new areas, conducting research to identify suitable locations.
• Support training and capacity-building initiatives for field teams and community members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
