3.) Investor Relations Advisor

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the review of all laws and regulations as circulated by FRC, NGX and SEC and prepare same for the Committee/Boards review, necessary policies for the Company’s implementation in line with Corporate Governance and best practice.
  • Coordinate the preparation of all statutory reports (the Chief Executive Officer Statements, Chairman Statements, the Sustainability report, Directors Reports, Corporate Governance Report, Governance Evaluation Report and other Regulatory reports) of the Company and obtain timely regulatory approvals for the publication of same. Ensures the development of regulatory and periodic review, of the company’s governance policies and practices.
  • Liaise with the IT Department to ensure timely updates, publication and uploads of policy reviews and decisions of the Board in line with regulatory standards and the remodelling of the Investor Relations platform on the website.
  • Develop, maintain and improve communications and relations between the shareholders and the organisation.
  • Attend to Shareholders on a day to day basis regarding shareholder and regulatory queries and unclaimed dividends payments.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for investors; manages the company’s relationship with investors and other related stakeholders including representatives of the Stock Exchange
  • Collate and process of all unclaimed dividends payments and submission of updates to the Company’s Registrars.
  • Assists with the vetting of all contractual documents of the Company and shareholders’ certificates prior to execution and sealing by the Company Secretary.
  • Develop and implement the company’s investor relations plan and programs under the supervision of the Company Secretary.
  • Maintains ongoing relationship with representatives of FRC, NGX and SEC.
  • Liaise with vendors on prompt delivery of goods and services rendered.
  • Collate and process all unclaimed dividends payments and submit updates to the Company’s Registrars.
  • Attend to shareholders on a daily basis regarding shareholder and regulatory queries, and unclaimed dividends payments.
  • Facilitate prompt, timely payment of unclaimed dividends to shareholders and guide against overpayments.
  • Liaise with the Finance department on all payment related matters to ensure shareholders as well as vendors are duly paid
  • Manage and coordinate all regulatory filings to the Financial Reporting Council, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the Corporate Affairs Commission.
  • Prepare all regulatory updates for Board and Committee deliberations.
  • Follow up on any regulatory issues from the Financial Reporting Council, Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigerian stock Exchange, and the Corporate Affairs Commission on Policy implementation and review.
  • Ensure reduction of operational cost.
  • Coordinate and ensure prompt and timely payment of regulatory subscriptions.
  • Ensure all customer invoices are serviced and processed promptly.
  • Coordinate under the supervision of the Company Secretary, shareholders payments to guide against overpayments.
  • Liaise with the Finance department on all payment related matters to ensure that what is paid to vendors and shareholders is what is due.
  • Coordinate the prompt filing of all quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
  • Oversee the timely production of all annual reports, SEC and other regulatory and statutory filings, and proxy statements.
  • Undertake research and analysis to provide insight on regulatory updates.
  • Monitor share price performance and report unusual trading activities to the Company Secretary for the Boards attention.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3-9 years of experience.
