1.) Senior Implementation Consultant (Data & Processing Localization)

Job Description

Position Summary

  • This position serves as Visa Project Manager for implementation services provided to Clients with specific focus on Strategic initiatives including complex multi-market, multi-solution, multi-phased projects.
  • This is an individual contributor role responsible for solving complex problems and taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
  • This role serves to gather and document project requirements, coordinating the work of various workstreams involved in the project delivery while providing client consultative guidance on Visa regulations, fees, features, and functionality.
  • As a member of Client Services Strategic Projects Implementation team, you will oversee the deployment of domestic processing solution among other strategic projects within the region.
  • In the role of Project Manager, you will be leading technical Implementation and working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders such as Visa clients, partners, processors, and service providers.
  • This role focuses on the deployment of processing infrastructure and aligning it with business needs to ensure efficient operations.
  • It requires strategic integration of platform and product strategies to maximize synergies and drive overall business success.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Visa Strategic initiatives which impact clients from a business operations perspective including changes to current products, implementation of new products and solutions.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects (including projects directed by other project managers where appropriate) to ensure that project interdependencies are identified and managed, resource requirements anticipated in advance of need, and priorities established in accordance with Visa and Client strategic objectives.
  • Assist clients by performing technical analysis of the requirements for the implementation of Visa products and services to support the business and formulate implementation solutions.
  • Represent client system and operational requirements to internal Visa organizations. Constantly create good functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, by being able to speak confidently with a professional demeanor.
  • Work with the regional Visa Network Processing, global Product, Data Platform and Technology teams to identify technical insights, requirements, develop Project plan and lead new processing solutions Implementation.
  • Coordinate project activities and collaborate directly with clients, technology providers, government authorities and other stakeholders as part of new processing solutions deployment.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and issues logs.
  • Set priorities, influence client and Visa teams involved into various project workstreams to multi-task under tight deadlines and ensure that client and/or processor efforts, and 3rd party software providers are managed towards achieving customer and key stakeholder acceptance of deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal Visa resources to ensure delivery on commitments.
  • Provide project management support to Visa clients and processors to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Client Services including knowledge of the APIs, implementation guides, client integration options, deployment and post-production support.
  • Confidently manage new solution pilots and client projects in parallel to product developments and a changing landscape
  • Be able to communicate complex, technical concepts in a focused and well-organized manner.
  • Be able to learn and acquire knowledge in new technologies in keeping step with market developments.
  • Be accountable for delivering agreed objectives. Be responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take the initiative to resolve problems and ensure delivery on commitments.
  • Good analytical skills, not just for problem analysis, but to use technical acumen for reviewing appropriateness of technical or project documents and in integrating systems solutions.

Qualifications
We are looking for an individual who brings breadth of experience, a curiosity about payments, is results-driven and client focused. As a candidate, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience in a business analyst role in software or financial services
  • Requires a minimum of 10+ years of Information Technology system knowledge with good understanding of project management, technology and applications
  • Project management of retail banking, card schemes or new technologies that are applicable to the payment industry
  • Good working knowledge of payment processing systems including message routing, authorization, clearing & settlement and client connectivity a plus
  • Knowledge of key management and transaction validation
  • Understanding of digital payments and web-based service APIs
  • Expert knowledge of standard MS Office tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.)
  • Ability to understand systems, networks and architecture coupled with analytical ability to solve complex problems involving interfaces between various systems across organizations
  • Direct experience with VisaNet, VCMS, Base I, and Base II platforms
  • Familiarity with secure communication protocols such as SFTP, FTP/S, HTTPS, PGP, and message-level encryption
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
  • Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills a must
  • Candidate will be based in Lagos, Nigeria, the ability to speak/write English fluently is required

2.) Partner Acquirer / Senior Manager - Network Partner Management

  • Network Partner Management (NPM) sits within Visa Payments Limited, an intrinsic part of Visa Direct with the objective to unleash the power of Visa to ‘beyond the card’.
  • This enables Visa clients to send money to bank accounts and digital wallets around the world.
  • The NPM team is responsible for the acquisition, management, and oversight of external payment bank and non-bank financial institutional partnerships.

What a Partner Acquirer does at Visa

  • To manage and maintain the relationships in key markets in the geography.
  • Oversee and monitor the end-to-end process of selection to successful on-boarding of new partners, working with technical, operational, and commercial teams to resolve any issues and manage the successful completion in accordance with agreed timetable.
  • Collaborate with sales and account managers to understand route demand from current and new clients. Work in partnership with sales team to attend select client meetings to deliver compelling value proposition relating to routes, local capabilities, pricing linked to volumes etc.
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with relevant management personnel in banking and non-banking partner businesses.   • Oversee the Identification and selection of new payment partners in collaboration with the regional head and the central network team and in accordance with the network standards and performance criteria. Provide clear, complete, accurate and compelling information about the process, criteria, expected standards of network partners.
  • Work with the wider Bank Partner Network team and sales and marketing, to identify, plan and deliver effective marketing and brand building events and engagements with clients and partners.

Qualifications

  • 10 years or more of relevant experience in a global bank or payment company in Network Management, Correspondent Banking, International Cash Management or Transaction Banking in the region.
  • In-depth knowledge of Global Payments.
  • Travel would be required for this role.
