Job Position: Maintenance Manager

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary


  • The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities across construction sites, equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • The role ensures optimal performance, safety compliance, cost efficiency, and minimal downtime of assets.
  • The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and extensive experience in construction maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for construction equipment, plants, and facilities
  • Oversee maintenance of heavy-duty machinery, vehicles, tools, and site infrastructure
  • Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and external contractors
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all sites
  • Diagnose equipment faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime
  • Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and inventory of spare parts
  • Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to support project timelines
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend replacements or upgrades when necessary
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities meet regulatory and operational standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a construction company
  • Strong knowledge of construction machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical maintenance
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within construction environments
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning tools and reporting systems.
