Today IHS Towers has operations in Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Zambia and Rwanda. Following the recent acquisitions of MTN and Etisalat’s tower portfolios in Nigeria, IHS owns over 23,300 towers in Africa.

Job Position: Manager, Sustainability

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description


  • Ensure the CSR programme is aligned with the CSR strategy and supports advancement of the company’s organizational culture.
  • Evaluate CSR initiatives against industry standards, analyzing results and developing action plans to ensure that the company has a best-in-class CSR programme.
  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate the impact, resource requirements, and cost/ benefit of new CSR programmes. Propose new programmes and initiatives to key business leaders.
  • Identify and participate in CSR membership organizations and conferences.
  • Arrange and coordinate thought leadership and speaking engagements for senior corporate executives, including industry panels and conferences.
  • Partner with internal departments to enhance and expand CSR-related programmes, metrics, and communications.
  • Develop strategies and materials for the communication of CSR initiatives to all internal and external audiences, ensuring overall messaging is consistent across business units and across corporate communications.
  • Write, edit, and/ or promote materials on the company’s CSR programmes and activities via print and digital channels. Actively contribute to the communication of compelling company and brand messages.
  • Manage volunteers, community partners, and interns when applicable. Manage external vendors as necessary.
  • Review and respond to unsolicited in-kind and cash investment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline; Master’s and/ or MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Six (6) years of related experience in sustainable business, communications, and/or project management.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
