Job Description

  • The Managing Director's responsibility is to direct and control the company’s operations and to give strategic guidance and direction to the board to ensure that the company achieves its mission and objectives.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate the company's visionary goals, mission, and strategic objectives in the card processing switch and payment solutions realm.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Advise the board on industry developments and collaborate on policy creation to bring our client's mission to life while adhering to regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, government departments, and key decision-makers to ensure our client's services are exceptional.
  • Drive innovation by implementing short-term and long-term business strategies to secure our client's industry leadership position.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and agility, combining cutting-edge technology and expertise.
  • Conduct research and development missions to maintain a competitive edge.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the company's financial performance, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Craft annual budgets and financial plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Optimize revenue growth and cost efficiency in the e-payment space.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, diversification, and new revenue streams while mitigating financial risks.

Operations and Business Development:

  • Lead all areas of the company's card processing switch and payment solutions with exceptional leadership.
  • Establish performance indicators to ensure seamless operations and integration with financial systems.
  • Form alliances with financial institutions, technology providers, and stakeholders to expand market presence and enhance service offerings.
  • Explore emerging trends, discover potential clients, and tap into new markets for cosmic growth.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and investors in the card processing switch and payments ecosystem.
  • Represent the company in external engagements, conferences, and industry events to attract business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors to align with the parent company's strategic direction.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment that nurtures talent in the technology and payments industry.

Corporate Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the parent company on governance matters.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the card processing switch and payments domain.
  • Promote integrity, transparency, and accountability throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Hold a B.Sc / BA in Business Administration or a relevant field; an MSc/MA is a plus.
  • 5 to 7 years of senior-level management experience.
  • Proven track record as a CEO, preferably in the financial technology or payments industry.
  • Graduate-level intellect, with a higher degree or professional qualification.
  • Experience in developing and managing innovative funding instruments.
  • Proficiency in managing public company financial statutory requirements.
