Associates Consulting Limited - Our client is a fast growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production and power.

Role Summary


  • The Material Reconciliation Officer will operate, maintain and continuously improve Material Control within the Warehouse.
  • Ensuring that the business needs are met, and the materials are available in line with the Project needs.
  • Ensure the Materials handling processes and procedures are met whilst following all the safety rules as well as Material Reconciliation at the end of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Materials Reconciliation Officer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of materials movements and materials storage with the site storage space.
  • The Materials Reconciliation Officer will need to participate in these audits when required.
  • To ensure the goods are offloaded correctly using the correct techniques and the receiving of goods is in line with the relevant SOP’s and the materials are received on the site following all the processes and procedures.
  • Any risk to the Safety, Health and Environmental aspects of the job must be properly assessed before work is undertaken.
  • Training is given for all areas, and it is up to the individual to carry out all the duties involved with materials movement in a safe and efficient manner giving reference to all current legislation and safety guidelines and to take any precautions that are recognised to ensure safe working.
  • Participating in continuous improvement teams and taking a role in projects that emerge from the Supply Chain function.
  • Mandatory Safety Training updates.
  • Management of rejected and expired materials.
  • The following will be required to be controlled in the SAP/ERP/EPICORE system: material issue, material receipt, material transfer, receipt & lot numbering of incoming materials, the issue of materials to process orders and cost centers, the transfer of materials from locations, confirmation of transfer orders, cycle counting and reconciliation of adjustments to and from inventory for Technical Audit Team.
  • Record Material information and generate labels / dispatch reports. Part of the Dispensing Technician’s time is spent on a Forklift Truck, and it is their responsibility to check that this truck is safe and that the necessary regular checks are carried out to ensure its road worthiness.
  • Writing SOP’s and Work Instructions to cover the activities performed at the Site.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of current experience in Materials Reconciliation/ManagementOfficer within Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Exposure to asset/plant level quality management issues both in construction and operation phase.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft, SAP, ERP, EPICORE Applications hands on experience is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Good public speaking skills.
