Medical Officer

Barbinton Medical Centre (a member of the Primary Care Quality Network) seeks qualified individuals to work in the newly upgraded Comprehensive Primary Health Care Centre. The Medical Officer will:


  • Be responsible for patients' routine check-ups as well as non-emergency medical situations that arise; undertake tasks aiming for prevention and promotion of healthy habits.
  • Help patients prevent, understand, manage illness, and navigate set health goals.
  • Conduct routine general medical clinics and attending to medical emergencies.  Conducting examinations of ill patients and evaluating them to determine their condition. Treating or referring patients where necessary.
  • Run telemedicine clinics in collaboration with our online partners. 
  • Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health.
  • Supervise the continuous quality Improvement Programme.
  • Maintain patient records in the computerised medical records system (training provided).
  • Assist with training sessions for the healthcare workers in the centre.

The position is full-time with a shared shift rota.
