Sustainable Family Healthcare Foundation (SFHF) is an indigenous, humanitarian non-governmental organization established to promote the rights and access of vulnerable communities, including Persons with Disabilities to affordable and sustainable quality of life, with focus on access to inclusive Sexual and Reproductive health services with special focus on Obstetric fistula, WASH and livelihood interventions.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant
Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Description
- The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will support data management, analysis, and reporting for SFHF’s core thematic areas: Safe Motherhood Strategy (SMS), Comprehensive Fistula Care (CFC), inclusive reproductive health, and livelihood interventions. The M&E Assistant will ensure that monitoring and evaluation systems are effectively implemented to assess project impact and improve program quality.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management:
- Design and manage tools for collecting high-quality data on Safe Motherhood Strategy (SMS), including antenatal care, delivery outcomes, and postnatal care indicators.
- Collect and analyze data on obstetric fistula prevention and treatment, tracking patient outcomes and intervention effectiveness.
- Monitor the progress of inclusive reproductive health activities, including services provided to vulnerable groups, such as Persons with Disabilities.
- Support data collection for livelihood interventions, including tracking beneficiaries’ economic outcomes and program impact.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze program data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement across thematic areas.
- Prepare detailed and timely reports on project outcomes for internal use and donor reporting, with a focus on measurable impact in Safe Motherhood, obstetric fistula care, inclusive reproductive health, and livelihoods.
- Develop and present dashboards and visualizations to track program performance against key indicators.
Monitoring and Evaluation Systems:
- Implement robust M&E frameworks for SMS, CFC, reproductive health, and livelihood programs, ensuring alignment with SFHF and national guidelines.
- Conduct routine data quality assessments (DQAs) to ensure accuracy and reliability of data from project-supported sites.
- Support baseline and end-line evaluations to measure program impact on maternal health, fistula care, and livelihood outcomes.
Capacity Building:
- Train and mentor project staff and partners on M&E tools, processes, and best practices, with an emphasis on data collection for maternal health, fistula care, and livelihood programs.
- Strengthen the capacity of health facility staff to collect, analyze, and use data for decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with community structures, healthcare providers, and government stakeholders to streamline data collection processes.
- Represent SFHF in meetings with donors, partners, and stakeholders to share M&E insights and lessons learned.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree in Public Health, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in maternal health, reproductive health, or livelihood programs.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or Power BI) and familiarity with database management systems.
- Strong understanding of reproductive health indicators, including maternal and newborn health, fistula care, and family planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in Hausa is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Nigeria (up to 60%).

Salary
NGN 2,500,000 per annum.
