1.) Chef de Partie II (Pastry)

Job Description

  • A Chef de Partie II (Pastry) is responsible for supervising staff and ensuring high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while assisting with food cost controls.

Responsibilities

  • A Chef de Partie II, will supervise staff and ensure high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
  • A Chef de Partie II will also be required to assist with food cost controls. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
    • Ensure all food preparation meets standards
    • Prepare and present high quality food
    • Supervise staff
    • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
    • Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
    • Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
    • Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly
    • Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
    • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
    • Assist Head Chef/Sous Chef in the training of all staff in compliance of company procedures
    • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
    • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
    • Be environmentally aware

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Chef de Partie (Pastry) or experience as a Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry) role
  • A current, valid, and relevant trade commercial cookery qualification (proof may be required)
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Ability and desire to motivate teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Achieved Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Supervisory experience

2.) Assistant Chief Engineer

Job Description

  • An Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer with maintaining the entire Hotel and facilities, including the physical building structure, all plant and Furniture Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E), and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.

What will I be doing?

  • As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, daily, maintenance checks, and repairing mechanical equipment to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
  • An Assistant Chief Engineer will also be required to coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency programs.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer with maintaining the entire Hotel and facilities, including the physical building structure, all plant and FF&E, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure that all legal requirements are complied with and budgetary goals are met.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees of the Hotel, especially in relation to Fire & Life Safety, Evacuation and Security issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with, and implementation of local Fire & Life Safety Legislation, plus Corporate and Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Take full responsibility for the Engineering function in the absence of the Chief Engineer, making decisions and communicating results to other department heads to ensure the department provides a seamless service at all times.
  • Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel
  • Perform daily checks around the hotel
  • Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
  • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
  • Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses
  • Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost-effectively
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure monthly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly.

What are we looking for?
An Assistant Chief Engineer serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent education is required. An electromechanical and/or HVAC background is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a similar position preferably a hotel.
  • Effective negotiation and analytical skills, detail-oriented and customer-focused.
  • Experience in construction and work safety laws, and ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of guest room maintenance and public area maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge in preventive and periodic maintenance programs of all MEP equipment, irrigation, landscaping, pool, health and recreation facility equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment such as chillers, boilers, water treatment, heat exchangers, calorifiers and refrigeration equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, power, water, LPG and steam-related systems
  • Fluent in the English language.
  • Must be a Nigerian National
  • Extensive knowledge in HVAC, Repair & Maintenance and Energy management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Power distribution and BMS systems.
  • Knowledgeable in fire and safety equipment and fire and safety standards.
  • Knowledgeable in major Audio-Visual systems.

  • A Guest Service Agent provides reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required.

What will I be doing?
As Guest Service Agent, you will serve on the Front Office Team, to provide services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required.  A Guest Service Agent truly influences the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for Guests, including check in/out, and complete audit procedures, as required
  • Ensure that the Guest Service Manager is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and, or, other departments
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Attend appropriate training courses, when required, and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
  • Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
