We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Social Media Executive

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (with occasional travel)

Role Summary

  • The Social Media Executive will manage and grow the foundation’s social media channels, ensuring that content aligns with the foundation’s vision, mission, and programmes.
  • This role involves developing strategies to increase engagement, raising awareness about initiatives like the Vanguard Fellowship, and building an online community that supports the foundation’s goals.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop, curate, and publish high-quality, engaging content (text, images, videos) across all social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Plan and execute a content calendar aligned with the foundation’s events and campaigns.
  • Create visually appealing designs in collaboration with the design team or using tools like Canva.

Strategy and Growth:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the foundation’s online visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze metrics to evaluate the performance of campaigns, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and implement innovative strategies to enhance engagement.

Community Engagement:

  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly, ensuring a positive and professional online presence.
  • Foster a sense of community among followers and supporters, encouraging meaningful interactions.

Campaign Management:

  • Support the promotion of key initiatives, such as the Vanguard Fellowship, through targeted social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to align social media campaigns with the foundation’s overall messaging and goals.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure social media content reflects the foundation’s programmes and objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on social media performance, growth, and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing social media platforms for an organization or brand.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a flair for creating engaging content.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to track and improve performance.
  • Passion for social impact, youth empowerment, and community development.

2.) Project Manager - Vanguard Fellowship

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (with occasional travel)

Role Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of the Vanguard Fellowship programme.
  • The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Vanguard Fellowship programme.
  • This role requires strategic leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
  • The Project Manager will ensure the programme achieves its objectives of empowering young entrepreneurs while upholding the foundation’s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Management:

  • Plan, implement, and manage the Vanguard Fellowship programme, ensuring alignment with the foundation’s objectives.
  • Develop and oversee the programme’s timeline, budget, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and execute the one-week Ignite Bootcamp, including logistics, scheduling, and participant management.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with judges, mentors, and partners, ensuring their effective participation in the programme.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, government agencies, and industry leaders to support the programme’s goals.

Participant Support:

  • Manage communication with fellows throughout the programme, providing guidance and resolving challenges.
  • Oversee the selection process for participants and coordinate mentorship opportunities.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement KPIs to measure the programme’s impact and success.
  • Track the progress of participants during and after the fellowship to ensure sustainable outcomes.

Marketing and Communication:

  • Work with the communications team to promote the Vanguard Fellowship through social media, events, and press releases.
  • Represent the foundation at relevant events and speaking engagements.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Provide detailed reports on programme performance, outcomes, and financials to the foundation’s leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all programme-related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in non-profit, entrepreneurship, or social impact initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and public speaking.
  • A passion for youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community development.

3.) Executive Assistant (EA) to the Founder

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (with occasional travel)

Role Summary

  • The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Founder, enabling her to focus on the strategic growth and impact of the Mary Ojulari Foundation.
  • The EA will act as a liaison between the Founder and internal/external stakeholders, ensure the smooth execution of daily activities, and support the Foundation’s programmes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:

  • Manage the Founder’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
  • Organise and prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Handle correspondence, draft emails, and maintain communication on behalf of the Founder.
  • Monitor and prioritise tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.

Strategic and Operational Support:

  • Assist the Founder in the planning and execution of Foundation initiatives and events.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports to support decision-making.
  • Maintain records of key projects, stakeholder interactions, and progress updates.
  • Ensure alignment with the Foundation’s mission and goals in all activities.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including government officials, corporate partners, and community leaders.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and follow up on actionable items.

Communications and Social Media:

  • Collaborate with the communications team to amplify the Founder’s personal brand and the Foundation’s visibility.
  • Draft content for newsletters, articles, and social media platforms.

Event Coordination:

  • Support the planning and execution of Foundation events, including the Ignite Bootcamp, Vanguard Fellowship, and community outreach programmes.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistics for the Founder and key stakeholders.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Social media management experience is an advantage.
