Job Description


  • We are looking for a resourceful Procurement Manager to oversee our procurement activities related to agro-allied products.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, data gathering skills, and a deep understanding of the agro-allied industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's goals and objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the agro-allied industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with procurement software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
