Job Position: Procurement Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities


  • Manage all procurement processes seamlessly.
  • Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services required for the smooth functioning of the company.
  • Identify quality suppliers/vendors for all goods and services needed by the company.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure that all procured goods and services meet that standard and specification.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to optimize procurement processes.
  • Prepare purchase orders and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future demand to avoid stock shortages or overstock situations.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or service standards.
  • Generate reports and analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving measures.
  • Sound knowledge of both technical and non-technical items

Qualifications / Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a B.Scor HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a Procurement Officer.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the Construction, Oil and Gas sector will be an added advantage
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
