Puffin Agro-Allied and General Services (PAAGS) was established in 2015 with a passionate focus on Agricultural Business and other related general services. It is concerned with food production through the distribution of all kinds of agricultural supplies and machinery such as: tractors, seeds, grains, fruits, fertilizer, agro-chemicals, animals, feeds, and animal medication. We have identified the need for a simple, affordable, and accessible requirements for food security to help salvage the challenges with the same in our environment.

Job Summary


  • The Inventory and Procurement Executive is responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with vendors and coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs

Job Description

  • Lead high-value tenders across all categories
  • Partner with Senior Stakeholders and Budget Holders across the company to support procurement needs
  • Build and oversee procurement systems/processes
  • Ensure compliance with legislation where required
  • Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services.
  • Select the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor and determine inventory levels and purchase needs.
  • Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices.
  • Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoice issues with vendors.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders.
  • Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
  • Schedule and verify purchase deliveries.
  • Build and maintain positive long-term supplier relationships.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on issues regarding purchasing terms.
  • Undertake any other necessary duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience 
  • Post-Graduate Degree shall be considered an advantage
  • Male candidates only

Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks seamlessly.
