Job Position: Project Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities


  • Develop, coordinate and manage project design, budgeting and scheduling, prequalification, management of contractors, subcontractors and equipment vendors; maintaining close contact with the various stakeholders and deliverables.
  • Supervise and review cost estimating and purchasing functions; manage fieldrelated project planning, scheduling and quality control; risk management activities; and manage budgets, schedules, invoicing and other contract requirements.
  • Produce, revise, monitor and assess the project schedule/progress during all project phases.
  • Ensure that projects and initiatives are executed within the time frame that is allocated to them, and that they fall within the customer and or company’s budget. Monitor and assess project budgets.
  • Manage and maintain communication between field engineers and outsourced vendors. Select and coordinate subcontractors handling projects for the department.
  • Design solar systems based on customer requirements; mini grid and roof top solar etc. Discuss with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
  • Assess the loads and loading pattern of consumer energy consumption and optimal sizing solar power solutions.
  • Assist in researching and developing new products.
  • Technical analysis of tender and bid specifications. Preparation of BOQ/BOMs.
  • Allocate and follow through with all technical project specifications.
  • Coordination with OEMs at suppliers' end & proper installation of the equipment as per manufacturers' guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in similar position
  • Project Management Training/Certification (PMP) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Helioscope software, CAD or other engineering design software
  • Capable and well conversant in tools and software used for designing solar power solutions
  • Decision making ability, with excellent planning and problemsolving skills.
