Job Position: Project Manager

Job Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third-party.
• Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver the project on budget.
• Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key milestones, workstreams & activities.
• Managing the delivery of the project according to this plan.
• Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate government stakeholders and program stakeholders providing day-to-day contact on project status and change.
• Tracking projects and providing regular reports on project status to the project team and key stakeholders.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks- Identifying and carefully evaluating risks during the project lifecycle and working with multiple functions to mitigate them.
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
• Project governance - reporting project status, risk management, reporting key metrics.
• Responsible for verifying and collating time sheets/hours worked by the Project team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Project Management experience with budgeting, project cost estimating, scheduling and planning.
• Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Microsoft Project.
• PMP Certified.
• Valid competency certificates.
