The flagship project of Yomoh Health Limited, "BridgingSpace", is a social impact project that utilizes technology to solve critical problems in mental health. The objectives of the BridgingSpace project are to provide support and counselling for individuals with mental health challenges through a mobile App that interfaces clients with therapists, provide communities in Nigeria with mental health education/hackathons, provide sustainable solutions to mental health issues through accessible healthcare linkages and providers, and to partner with government and private mental health facilities for human impact.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Psychiatric / Mental Health Nurse

Job Location: Nigeria (Remote)
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Description

• Serve as Mental Health First Responder to clients in need of mental health services
• Communicate with clients of different age groups and socioeconomic and ethnic origins
• Listen actively to clients, understand their needs and problems, talk to them on how best to plan and deliver their care, and refer them to Psychiatrists and Clinical psychologists as necessary
• Build effective nurse-patient relationship to encourage trust
• Display compassion, patience, diplomacy, and tact in the discharge of duties
• Follow up on referred clients and ensure continuity of care after clients have been managed by the registered mental health professionals. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all encounters
• Collaborate with a broader team of mental health professionals for periodic case reviews.
• Comply with nursing guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Participate in mental health education and advocacy campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience

• We require a diligent and passionate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse to work as part of a team of mental health professionals providing safe, anonymous, and confidential online mental health services to clients all over Nigeria.

The Nurse should ideally possess the following professional qualifications, experience, and skills:

• Minimum of two year’s work experience as Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse
• B.Sc in Nursing or equivalent
• Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria or any other relevant regulatory body
• Must possess a valid license to practice
• Great working knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Integrity and honesty
• Ability to respect and maintain confidential information
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with teleconferencing needed.
• Must possess a laptop or smartphone with fast internet connection.
