About the Role

• Cedro Royal company based in Abuja seeks a Social Media Associate to enhance our presence on social media and other digital venues.
• The ideal candidate will have experience using social media support in a range of marketing initiatives within the organization.
• The duties include tracking analytics for social media campaigns, creating social media posting schedules, and writing captions for social media posts to drive traffic for business engagement.
• Reporting to the Director of Communications, the person in this position will aid the broader communication team with other tasks, including story writing and creating content in multi-media formats, such as social media stories, videos, and podcasts.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Social Media Associate will support the company to develop and implement digital outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. The duties and responsibilities include:

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
• Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
• Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
• Help create and edit short-form videos
• Support marketing team at live and online events
• Perform social media marketing research
• Assist on influencer campaign strategy
• Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Assist with photo/video content shoots
• Ensure brand message is consistent

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in social and digital media marketing roles
• Comfortable using a wide range of digital tools, from social media managers (Tweet Deck), content management systems (WordPress), email marketing tools (Constant Contact, MailChimp, MyEmma)
• Experience using social media to directly engage “narrowcast” audiences, including thought leaders and reporters
• Extraordinary attention to detail and strong writing skills
• Experience with digital design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience creating videos for social media and podcast production is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff
• Professional-level fluency in English
• It is ideal that the candidate is based in Abuja, FCT, and the environment.
