Job Summary
- Working under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub Office & the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Assistant, the selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out warehousing & logistics functions in accordance with our clients regulations, rules & procedures.
Role Objectives
In particular, s / he will:
- Liaise with the procurement / logistics / warehouse regarding, goods release, dispatch & reception of consignments in Yola & cargo shipments to the field.
- S / he will be responsible for the coordination, preparation & maintenance of warehouse related activities & updating inventory records.
- Verify, organize & orderly archive the vehicles running log sheets & oversee repair / maintenance of vehicles & track maintenance / repair records.
- Allocate / assign vehicles based on vehicle requests & manage vendor vehicles & process monthly payment to vendor.
- Ensure that necessary checks are in place by updating stock cards & bin cards are in place for all stored items, issue waybill & any forms related to the in & out movement of the material / goods/spare parts from the warehouse & ensuring stock is issued on a FIFO basis.
- Support the monitoring of Casual Laborers in the warehouse & prepare the monthly timesheets for Casual Laborers.
- Assist in managing office facilities, ensuring a well maintained environment & addressing facility issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure timely replenishment & maintain accurate usage records of office consumables.
- Accurately manage generator logs & ensure timely maintenance to prevent power disruptions.
- Perform any other duty as assigned.
Project Reporting:
- This role will be working under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub Office & the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Assistant.
Key Competencies
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years progressive experience in supply chain & / or warehousing & transport / logistics or a diploma certificate with a minimum of four years progressive experience in the same fields.
- Previous experience in fleet management, materials handling & warehousing.
- Experience working with any UN agency or an international humanitarian field is an added advantage.
- Technical knowledge on use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

- Must be fluent in both English & Hausa.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is an advantage.
- Requires the technical skills to use design software programs mentioned above & possess a general interest & aptitude for learning new technology.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills, including experience presenting to multiple audiences (e.g., technical & non technical, government circle).
- Good inter personal skills & very friendly disposition stemming from proven experience.
Team management:
- This role has no team management responsibility.
