We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. These Journal entries will be in line with the company’s chart of Accounts
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Processing of company’s income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Assist with other accounting projects or as specified by the Managing Director

Requirements and Skills

• HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is compulsory
• 1-2 years of Proven experience as an accountant
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software
• Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
• Only residents of Surulere will be considered.
