We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Rice Farm Operation Manager

Job Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
Production Planning & Organising:

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
• Organize workflows to meet specifications and timelines and implement methodology to measure due-date delivery performance
• Evaluate production schedules to plan team structures and development
• Oversee the pre-production meeting to implement strategies to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
• Develop and maintain production metrics for quality, delivery and safety

Strategy & Budgets:

• Initiate and propose strategic plan for factory operations in the Company, defines the critical success factors and ensures after approval by the Board, the achievement of the vision/targets by setting and maintaining the correct focus for the organization.
• Develop sysytems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards , metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
• Translate broad objectives to specific goals for the various functional units resulting in effective and efficient implementation plan for factory operations.
• Ensure preparation of Operations Budget in line with developmental goals to ensure consistency in profitability and growth for the Company
• Implement and maintain the factory operations strategies to deliver the customer service objectives working functionally with Project Management/Commercial

Process Improvement:

• Review and recommend appropriate measures to control and minimise waste level
• Review production practices and equipment: make proposal for improvement to ensure that they are maximally effective
• Encourage a culture which strives for growth, continuous improvement and self-development.

Team Management:

• Build strong rapport with the production team through open communication, promote a positive, safe, productive and efficient work environment
• Continually analyse, identify and set expectations to motivate team members to achieve objectives and goals

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that items/ product produced by the production team always meet quality standards
• Monitor products standards at various levels of production and at the point of release so that cost of rework is reduced /eliminated

Leadership:

• Provide overall guidance and direction to the business, particularly for factory operations, as well as, direct reports and project team members.

HSE Management:

• Appropriate health and safety procedures are in place and applied rigorously.

2.) Factory Accountant - Rice Factory

Job Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Responsibilities

• Implementing and monitoring of financial controls in respect of expenses, materials procurement and utilization
• Initial development then preparation of Management accounts and Finance Reports within the agreed timescale.
• Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports for use by senior management.
• Weekly Factory overheads cost and Outlook review.
• Monthly rolling forecast on Cost of Goods Produced (COGP) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Monthly MUV (Materials usage variance) controls and driving of actions to reduce waste.
• Monitor Compliance with approved Annual Estimates (Budget) and Long Term Plan.
• Generate and follow up production and other variance reports
• Monthly Variance analysis on Cost of Goods Produced (COGP) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Guidance on general supply chain overheads costs.
• Managing 3p manufacturing agreements with MSA (Manufacturing service agreement) customers and TrueUp calculations on variances on standard.
• Support Fixed asset accountant on investment appraisals.
• Balance sheet reconciliations (Factory Accruals and prepayments).
• Support Non-Material Supply Chain Cost (NMSCC) squad on savings tracking and YTD performance on % to Turnover.

Requirements

• 5 years experience.
• Micro Economic and industry knowledge of rice production.
• Good understanding of manufacturing environment.
• Strategic and creative thinking. Project Management skills; strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; able to think methodically and analytically.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
