Penplus Professional Business Consult - Our client, Waveline Partners Growth which is a microfinance bank, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Agungi - Lekki, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Preparation of periodic financial reports in line with IFRS standards
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, compare budgeted costs with actual costs and explain trend and variances.
• Preparation of payroll, computation and remittance of taxes and statutory deductions.
• Periodic ledger and bank account reconciliations
• Gauging the company’s overall financial health using key financial ratios.
• Preparation of the company’s annual budget/forecast.
• Maintaining relationships with banks, tax consultants, external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors during operational and financial audits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent Degree; Chartered or in process
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the same position in financial services or microfinance sector.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong financial analysis and advanced excel skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and team playing skill.

Remuneration
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly depending on experience.
