Job Position: Business Analyst
Job Location: Tin Can, Apapa, Lagos
Department: Business Development
Reporting To: Research & Business Development Manager

Role Purpose

• The Business Analyst will drive data-driven decisions across lubricant manufacturing, supply chain, and sales.
• The role involves collating data from multiple systems, analyzing operational and commercial performance, and translating insights into actionable dashboards and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Analytics:Analyze blending operations, packaging line performance, plant KPIs (OEE, cost/MT, energy usage), and identify efficiency gaps.
• Supply Chain & Procurement:Monitor supplier performance, inventory KPIs (turnover, aging, safety stock), and evaluate logistics and warehouse efficiency.
• Sales & Commercial Performance:Analyze product, customer, and channel profitability; identify revenue leakage; support pricing and margin decisions.
• Data Management & Reporting:Collate data from ERP, CRM, and plant tools; ensure accuracy and automate reports.
• Dashboarding & Visualization: Build dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for production, inventory, and sales performance.
• Business Improvement:Identify cost and efficiency gaps; develop data-backed improvement initiatives and track benefits.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• 5–10 years in manufacturing analytics, lubricant/FMCG/process industries preferred.
• MBA, Lean, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Key Competencies & Attributes:

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, proactive, and accountable.

Technical Skills:

• Mandatory: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, automation), ERP experience, multi-source data analysis.
• Advantageous: SQL, Power BI, CRM exposure.
