Job Description

  • The CAD (Computer-Aided Design) engineer is responsible for creating and designing digital models and drawings of products and structures using specialized software tools.

Responsibilities
The job responsibilities of a CAD engineer may include:

  • Creating 2D and 3D models of products, plants, or structures using CAD software.
  • Developing detailed engineering drawings and specifications for various projects, ensuring that they meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with design teams, project managers, and clients to understand project goals, requirements, and timelines.
  • Participating in product testing and validation processes to ensure that designs meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Mentoring and training junior CAD engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Evaluating the feasibility and viability of designs and making necessary adjustments to improve their performance and functionality.
  • Conducting design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure that the final designs meet all required specifications and standards.
  • Creating and maintaining design documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that designs are practical and can be produced efficiently and cost-effectively.

Relevant qualifications: 

  • Degree in any Engineering discipline.
