Job Position: Farm Manager

Job Location: Ogun

Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced farm manager to oversee daily operations of our diversified farm focusing on yams, tomatoes, maize, peppers, and piggery in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
  • This is a full-time residential position requiring the manager to live on the farm with full hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily farming operations for all crops and livestock
  • Establish planting schedules, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control
  • Introduce best practices for maximizing yields
  • Maintain detailed records on costs, yields, inventory, etc.
  • Provide weekly metric reports to management
  • Manage operating budgets and cash flows
  • Supervise farm workers and provide training
  • Manage piggery development and operations including feeding schedules, breeding, and health monitoring
  • Develop and maintain off-taker relationships/sales channels
  • Monitor produce quality, enforce safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations
  • Ensure the safety and security of farm property.

Requirements

  • Degree or HND in Agriculture with marketing / business experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing diversified farms
  • Knowledge of pig and crop farming best practices
  • Strong record keeping and data analysis skills
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and organization abilities
  • Familiarity with offtake channels and sales networks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • This is a full-time residential position.

Salary
