Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant and lounge team.
  • As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including food and beverage operations, customer service, marketing, and financial management.
  • You will be expected to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all restaurant and lounge operations, including food and beverage preparation, service, and presentation
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability
  • Analyze sales data and make informed decisions to optimize menu offerings, pricing, and promotions
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant and lounge
  • Manage and lead a team of department heads, including kitchen, front of house, and bar staff
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory, and cash handling procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety, employment, and liquor licensing
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and performance metrics
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and promote employee development and growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior management role in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and improving profitability
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of restaurant and lounge operations, including food and beverage preparation, service, and presentation
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and financial reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
  • Certification in hospitality management or a related field (e.g. CMA, CHA)
  • Experience with marketing and social media platforms
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and liquor licensing laws.
