About the Role
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our team at a client site in Lagos.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient servicing, maintenance, and repair of various air conditioning systems, including DX, VRV, and VRF units, as well as fresh, exhaust, and extract fans.
- This position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician with a solid background in air conditioning systems and related mechanical and electrical fault finding.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
- Service, maintain, and install HVAC systems (DX, VRV, VRF units, pumps, and motors).
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system faults, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.
- Manage site operators and coordinate with contractors for smooth operations.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports, track service performance, and compile maintenance budgets.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure systems are functioning efficiently.
- Monitor costs and provide cost motivations for repairs or upgrades as needed.
Requirements
What you will bring:
- Certified Air Conditioning Technician with a valid trade test certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in HVAC maintenance, service, and installation.
- Previous experience managing site operators and coordinating with contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office) and driver’s license.
- Ability to prepare and compile daily morning reports, monthly reports, budgets, and cost motivations as per site requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of pumps, motors, and other HVAC components, with hands-on experience in service and repair.
- Familiarity with maintaining service standards and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Basic electrical knowledge in HVAC servicing.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements and relevant safety standards.
- Understanding of HVAC system installation guidelines, refrigerant handling, and electrical safety.
- Valid Driver’s license.
