Role Summary


  • The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership for the formulation and execution of growth strategies across the Group’s subsidiaries.
  • This role is critical to identifying and developing new investment opportunities while ensuring operational excellence and strong corporate governance.
  • The Managing Director will report directly to the Group CEO.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy:

  • Develop and drive the Group’s overall business strategy.
  • Support subsidiaries in formulating and executing their business plans.
  • Periodically review Group goals and assess the effectiveness of implementation strategies.

Business Development & Growth:

  • Ensure effective execution of the Group’s growth strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate investment and business opportunities across multiple sectors.
  • Lead initiatives to establish new businesses and expand the Group’s portfolio.
  • Drive brand management and corporate relations to enhance Group visibility and reputation.

Financial & Operational Performance:

  • Provide budgetary and financial management frameworks to support subsidiaries.
  • Support strategic product development initiatives across subsidiaries.
  • Develop and implement performance measurement metrics for the Group and its businesses.

Governance & Leadership:

  • Ensure sound corporate governance practices across all Group entities.
  • Provide leadership development and capacity-building support for subsidiary management teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • 10 - 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA, and/or CFA are an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and business analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in Group or portfolio management, at least at middle management level.
  • Demonstrated experience in business portfolio and investment management.
