Job Position: Procurement Officer (Maize Milling)

Job Brief

• The Procurement Officer will be responsible for ensuring proper implementation of Supply Chain strategies in relation to the procurement function to achieve on-time, on-demand availability of materials at the right quality and price. The role will require expertise in procurement management

Key Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing and procurement activities that support key business objectives
• Recommend updates to procurement policies based on changing market conditions
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly stock Update for management decision making.
• Conduct periodic spot checks on stock at all warehouses/stores to ensure compliance to policies and processes.
• Ensure prompt review of invoices, waybills and submission for payment
• Build supplier partnerships/loyalty that will promote overall business growth
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity in key material specifications and service expectations
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs
• Implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distribution of goods.
• Responsible for optimum stock/inventory management and utilization of raw/packaging materials through effective production planning.
• Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best pricesfor the company

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Social, Pure, Applied or Management Sciences plus 3 years of minimum experience in a similar role and industry.
• Should have in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain best practices, especially Demand Planning and Analysis
• Must be highly numerate with critical thinking skills
• Must have a working knowledge of procurement and warehousing management
• A member of the Institute of Logistics Management – (ILM).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years Industry experience

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 per month.
