Yakubu Gowon Foundation (YGF) is registered as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) , non-religious, non-political and not-for-profit perpetual foundation that leverages on a sustainable government-donor-community partnership for development.

Position: Program Director

Location: Jos

The Role

• The Program Director is responsible for developing and maintaining the effectiveness, strategic direction and sustenance of YGF; furthering its goals and broadening its financial and donor support base.
• The Program Director shall report directly to, and serve as secretary to the Council.

Responsibilities
The major areas of responsibilities are:

• Integrating mission and value.
• Financial management and sustainability.
• Programs oversight.
• Operational Management and Planning.
• Policy implementation.
• Program Development and Delivery.
• Human resources and capacity management.
• Community and stakeholder’s management.
• Advocacy and media relations.
• Governance and regulatory/statutory compliance.
• People and performance management.
• Fundraising, Marketing and communication management,
• Building on solid organizational achievements.

Skills Required:

• You have held leadership positions in a development agency/agencies and have a deep understanding of international best practices.

Specifically, you are able to demonstrate experience in:

• Strategic planning, budget development and financial Management.
• Fundraising and the sustainability of organization
• Leading and managing Staff.
• Governance experience working with a Board

Qualifications

• Minimum of a masters' degree and ten years working experience in a related organization.
• Additional qualification and contacts will be an advantage.
