Job Summary
- We’re expanding our Project Management Office (PMO) and seeking a PMO/Scrum Master to bring agile expertise and drive project success in a fast-paced, innovative environment.About USJob Summary
- We are looking for a PMO/Scrum Master with 2-5 years of experience, ideally in managing financial services technology projects.
- This role will oversee project planning, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure agile principles are applied effectively.
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance agile methodologies with PMO structure to keep projects aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & PMO Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, execution, and tracking, ensuring alignment with The Company’s strategic goals and PMO guidelines.
- Develop project timelines, milestones, and resource plans, and ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Maintain project documentation, prepare regular status reports, and track project KPIs to communicate project health and progress to stakeholders.
Scrum Master Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Empower and guide teams to follow agile principles, helping to identify and remove roadblocks to ensure smooth project progression.
- Coach team members on agile practices, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the main point of contact between the project team, business stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
- Proactively engage with business leaders to understand project requirements, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle; develop contingency plans and escalate issues when necessary.
- Address any blockers or impediments faced by the team, finding solutions that enable productivity and efficient project delivery.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement within the project management function, implementing lessons learned and industry best practices.
- Collect and analyze project metrics to improve project delivery efficiency and team productivity.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Generate and present regular project reports to senior management, detailing progress, risks, and performance metrics.
- Track project budget and resources, ensuring projects remain within allocated budgets and deliver expected outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in project management, preferably with a focus on financial services technology projects.
- Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent agile certification is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing financial services technology projects.
- Proficiency in project management and agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
- Understanding of the fintech landscape and experience in adapting agile practices to fast-changing, regulated environments.
Skills:
- Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Scrum Master Expertise: Strong understanding of Scrum and agile frameworks, with experience in facilitating agile ceremonies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse project metrics and derive insights to improve project delivery.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and handle obstacles proactively.
