Job Position: Quality Assurance Pharmacist
Job Locations: Abuja and Lagos
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the registration of the premise with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Ensure that all SOPs are up to date and reviewed at expiration or when there is any change in process or develop new SOP for new process.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Lead in the design and implementation of efficient and effective Quality Management Systems (QMS) in the Warehouse.
- Provide leadership in the management of cold chain products in the warehouse.
- Ensures the compliance of the warehouse to Environment, Health & Safety as well as Good House Keeping Practices.
- Drives Change Control and Deviations Process by ensuring appropriate documentations e.g. Change Control documentation and Non-Conformance Logbook.
- Monitor the implementation of all Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) arising from internal or external quality audits of the warehouse.
- Ensure that all incidents are promptly reported, logged, investigated and resolved through corrective and preventive action management approach.
- Ensures that Temperature reports, Humidity reports, Pest Control reports, House keeping reports and Incident reports are kept up to date.
- Undertake the inspection and sampling of commodities in accordance with relevant SOPs or Client requirement.
- Manage and ensure compliance with in-house training matrix.
- In conjunction with the Warehouse Operations Manager, lead the reception for any visit by Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), National Agency for Drug and Food Administration and Control (NAFDAC) or other regulatory authorities and FMOH&SW representatives.
- Conduct quarterly self-audit for each of the warehouses and consolidate the reports by highlighting open issues for management review, as well as follow up on all the open issues to ensure full closure.
- Attend review meetings with Clients on all quality related matters.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Quality Assurance Lead.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- B.Pharm or Doctor of Pharmacy mandatory. MSc Supply Chain or Public Health would be an added advantage.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in private or public health supply chain management. Knowledge of storage, packaging, handling and transportation of pharmaceutical products including temperature sensitive and biological products.
- Experience in Quality Assurance functions as it relates to GDP and Quality Management Systems.
- Intermediate/Advanced computer skills to include the use of MS Office packages.
