Job Position: Quality Control Shift Incharge
Job Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary


  • The QC Shift Incharge will be responsible for overseeing quality control operations during their assigned shift, ensuring that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • They will coordinate with production, maintenance, and QA teams to resolve quality issues in real-time and ensure smooth functioning of QC activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all QC activities during the shift.
  • Monitor in-process and finished product quality parameters to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure proper sampling, testing, and documentation as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Review test results and approve/reject materials/products accordingly.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to address quality concerns promptly.
  • Ensure calibration and proper functioning of all QC instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain shift-wise quality records, reports, and logbooks.
  • Train and guide QC analysts/operators to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Escalate critical quality issues to the QC Manager/QA Head

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
  • Experience: 6–10 years in Quality Control in a manufacturing industry (pharma, food, chemical, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in chemical/microbiological testing, HPLC/GC operations (if applicable)
  • Familiarity with GMP/ISO standards and regulatory compliance
