Quidax is an African focused cryptocurrency exchange. We enable customers to buy/sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (Ethereum, USDT and Litecoin) with Naira.

Job Position: Legal Intern
Job Location: Lagos

What you will be doing
The job of the Legal Intern at Quidax is to support the legal team in:

• Conduct legal research on various topics as directed by legal officer;
• Summarize findings in memos and reports;
• Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and clarity;
• Assist in ensuring the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations;
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations;
• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
• Communicate with clients and external parties.

What your day-to-day looks like

• Draft legal documents such as contracts, agreements, or pleadings under supervision.
• Review and proofread drafts for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Provide legal advisory on business operations where necessary.
• Join meetings or calls where necessary.
• Communicate with various departments within the company to gather information and documents needed for legal matters.

What you need to have

• Must either finished university or have been called to the bar for not more than 2 years
• Strong academic record
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Outstanding research, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Can work with remote teams spread across the world
