Real Estate Broker

Job Description:

The estate broker is responsible for assisting the estate manager in overseeing the management and operations of a real estate property or portfolio. He/She is to provide support and administrative assistance in areas such as sale, leasing, tenant management, property maintenance, and financial management.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the company in the overall management of the properties, including leasing, marketing, and tenant relationships.
  • Coordinate with leasing agents to ensure all available properties are properly advertised, shown to potential tenants, and leased promptly.
  • Screen and select tenants, conduct background checks, and maintain accurate records related to leasing agreements and tenant profiles.
  • Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, and complaints, and conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with lease terms and property regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of properties, including hiring and supervising contractors, obtaining quotes for repair work, and ensuring timely completion of projects within budget.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and legal requirements related to real estate management, and provide recommendations to improve the estate's operations and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations relating to real estate management, including fair housing laws, safety regulations, and environmental concerns.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as maintenance technicians, administrative staff, and legal professionals, to ensure effective communication and efficient operations.
  • Handle any other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Estate Management and Valuation as added advantage.
  • Prior experience in real estate management, property management, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of leasing and property management principles, practices, and industry regulations.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with financial management and budgeting processes.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws about real estate management.
  • Valid driver's license.
