The Candel FZE is a manufacturing company engaged in the development, production, marketing and distribution of agrochemicals, specialised fertilisers, seeds and allied products in Nigeria. It is located in the Lekki Free Zone, Ibeju- Lekki, Lagos; near Dangote Refinery.

Job Description


  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a high-performing sales team, and driving business growth.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of the agrochemical / agricultural industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field, with a minimum grade of Second Class honours, Upper Division.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the agrochemical, agricultural or the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industries and at the senior management level.
  • A master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in both Hausa and English language will also be of advantage.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel widely and live in any part of Nigeria and as required.
