Job Position: Shipping Officer

Job Location: Oshodi - Isolo, Lagos

Job Summary

•  We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Officer to coordinate and oversee shipping activities, ensuring smooth operations and timely clearance of shipments via sea and air.
• This role requires close collaboration with third-party agents, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to facilitate efficient logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely clearing of shipments from ports, ensuring compliance with pre- and post-clearing processes.
• Monitor and track shipments in transit, providing regular updates.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and verify clearing documentation.
• Liaise with government agencies (Customs, NAFDAC, SON) to resolve related issues.
• Process duty payments, SONCAP, NAFDAC costing, and other regulatory requirements.
• Optimize and evaluate third-party service providers’ performance.
• Handle export processes and prepare monthly reports on import/export activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc. Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s clearing processes, shipping documentation, and regulatory procedures.
• Proficiency in Power BI is an added advantage.
