Woodwork Quality Control & Assurance Officer – Furniture Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking a Woodwork Quality Control and Assurance Officer to ensure that all furniture products meet the company’s quality standards and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance product durability, safety, and aesthetics.

Key Requirements

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality control within the furniture manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of wood types, joinery techniques, and finishing processes.
• Experience using measuring tools, quality assessment equipment, and woodworking machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with quality assurance policies.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, components, and finished furniture products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain consistency in production.
• Monitor wood cutting, finishing, assembling, and polishing processes to detect defects and deviations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations in woodwork and furniture manufacturing.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall product standards.
• Conduct random and scheduled product testing to assess durability and craftsmanship.
• Maintain records of quality inspections, defects, and corrective actions.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
• Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet required specifications.
