Gheysen Real Estate Limited - Our client, a reputable Real Estate / Projects Consultancy Firm, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Architect
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Creating building designs and high detailed drawing both by hand and by using specialist computer-aiding design (CAD) applications.
• Making sure the project is running according to schedule and budget.
• Playing part in project and team management.
• Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of a project, including constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget.
• Working closely with a team of other professional such as building services engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists.
• Applying for planning permission and advice from government new building and legal departments.
• Determining the materials to be used and specifying the requirement for the project.
• Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any related problems that may arise during construction.
• Travelling regularly to building sites, proposed location and client meetings.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• B.Sc / M.Sc / M.Ed (Architecture).
• Professional membership of ARCON, NIA is essential.
• 5 years relevant supervisory experience.
• Must have excellent design skills.
• Ability to develop architectural drawings with technical specifications.
• Good written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow tasks/projects through to a timely completion.
